New York State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli honored John Dearie for his 20 years’ service in the New York State Assembly (1973-1992) at a recent Manhattan Reception. The Proclamation presented outlines Dearie’s Legislative Leadership on the 25th Anniversary of the passage of The MacBride Principles, which aided Catholics in Northern Ireland by attacking unfair employment practices and stimulating job opportunities. That was signed into law by Governor Mario Cuomo
