Biography

Ashley Jacoby was the Salutatorian of her high school class and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Ithaca College in 2012. While at Ithaca College, Ashley interned at a law firm advocating on behalf of children’s and families’ rights.

After college, Ashley attended Syracuse University College of Law. As a law student, Ashley was a Research Assistant and worked as a Clerk in the Onondaga County Attorney’s Office where she assisted in securing a homicide conviction that received national attention. She also pursued her love of trial advocacy by appearing on behalf of the County in bench trials and at oral arguments. In 2014, Ashley worked as a Judicial Intern to Hon. Glenn T. Suddaby, Chief U.S. District Judge for the Northern District of New York.

While in her final year of law school, Ashley accepted a position as an associate at a nationally recognized plaintiff’s personally injury firm with offices in the Hudson Valley and New York City. During her five-year tenure at the firm, Ashley was promoted to Intake Department Manager and Attorney Manager, and represented clients in wrongful death, construction site, motor vehicle, and premises liability cases. She has tried cases throughout New York State and in 2019 was recognized for excellence in personal injury litigation as the recipient of the 2019 Premiere Lawyers of America: Top 40 Under 40 award.

Ashley joined The Dearie Law Firm, P.C., in January 2020 and works as an associate attorney representing seriously injured clients in construction site, motor vehicle, and premises liability cases. She is also the firm’s Pre-Litigation Department Supervisor.
